The Customer’s Journey to Modernized Integration with Incture   

Our customer, a leading British broadcaster and telecommunications company providing television, broadband, fixed line, and mobile services, faced critical challenges with their integration landscape. Their reliance on a soon-to-be-unsupported on-premise application threatened security and stability. They partnered with Incture to modernize their integration approach, aligning with their long-term strategic direction of moving to SAP S/4HANA and embracing cloud technologies.

Challenge:

The Need for Integration Modernization and Security Stabilization 

The customer’s integration relied heavily on SAP Ariba ITK, an on-premise Java-based application nearing end-of-support in December 2023. This dependency posed significant security and stability risks. Furthermore, the existing integration landscape needed modernization to support the company’s long-term strategic goal of migrating to SAP S/4HANA and transitioning to a cloud-based environment. A robust error handling and alerting framework was also lacking, hindering proactive issue resolution. The challenge was to migrate from SAP Ariba ITK to SAP Integration Suite and from PI/PO to SAP Integration Suite, ensuring seamless integration and improved operational efficiency. 

Solution:

A Harmonized Digital Ecosystem 

Incture implemented a comprehensive solution encompassing: 

  • Migration of existing PI/PO integrations to SAP Integration Suite, leveraging the power and flexibility of the cloud. 
  • Development of a BTP (Business Technology Platform) solution to replace the functionality of the aging SAP Ariba ITK toolkit, providing a secure and modern integration platform. 
  • Implementation of an automated alert system for erroneous functional scenarios, enabling proactive identification and resolution of integration issues.
