Transforming Supply Chain Flow Governance into a Strategic Advantage for leading healthcare company
The Customer’s Journey to Streamlined Supply Chain Flow Management with Incture Â
Our customer is a global healthcare company committed to expanding access to essential medicines worldwide. With a mission centered on enabling healthier lives, the organization delivers high-quality pharmaceutical products to hospitals, pharmacies, and healthcare providers across multiple countries.
To support its complex and expanding supply chain ecosystem, the customer sought to establish a centralized platform capable of managing end-to-end supply chain flows across multiple product categories. These flows spanned critical touchpoints, including cash-paying customers, affiliates, third-party customers, supply chain hubs, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers.
The objective was to enable a structured, standardized approach to creating, capturing, and approving supply chain flows, while ensuring visibility and accessibility for stakeholders across the organization. To achieve this, the customer partnered with Incture to modernize and digitize their supply chain flow governance processes.

Challenge:
Overcoming Inefficiencies in Supply Chain Flow GovernanceÂ
The customer’s governance team was responsible for managing a high volume of supply chain flow requests, with over 126 requests tracked in 2024 alone. However, the existing process relied heavily on manual methods, including multiple documents and extensive email communication.Â
This fragmented approach created several challenges. The process was time-consuming, prone to errors, and lacked standardization. Managing approvals across multiple stakeholders became increasingly complex, leading to delays and inefficiencies. Additionally, the absence of a centralized system limited visibility into supply chain flows and made it difficult to maintain consistency and control.Â
The organization needed a robust, scalable solution to streamline governance, reduce manual dependency, and improve overall efficiency in managing supply chain flows.Â
Solution:
Digitizing Supply Chain Governance with SAP BTP-Powered SCFGÂ
Incture implemented the Supply Chain Flow Governance (SCFG) solution, built on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), to provide a centralized, end-to-end platform for managing supply chain flows.Â
The solution enables users to create, manage, and visualize supply chain flows seamlessly across the organization. Leveraging SAP Build Process Automation, SCFG orchestrates workflows efficiently and provides a unified inbox for managing all approval tasks, ensuring faster and more structured decision-making.Â
SCFG integrates seamlessly with ECC and Kinaxis Rapid Response systems, enabling real-time synchronization of supply chain data. The platform offers role-based access, allowing stakeholders across functions to easily view and interact with relevant supply chain flow information.Â
The application also introduces robust document management capabilities, allowing users to store, manage, and access all related documents and reports in a centralized repository. Its flexible workflow design supports dynamic approval processes, enabling requests to be modified, sent back, or adjusted based on product flows and business requirements.Â
Additionally, SCFG simplifies flow creation by allowing users to define a base structure and generate multiple flows efficiently by populating vendor details, manufacturing hubs, and customer information.Â
Results:
Driving Efficiency, Visibility, and Control Across Supply Chain OperationsÂ
With the implementation of SCFG, the customer achieved a significant transformation in how supply chain flows are managed.Â
The solution eliminated the need for manual flow design using tools like PowerPoint, drastically reducing time and effort. Request management became more streamlined, with a notable reduction in manual intervention and email dependency.Â
By establishing a single source of truth for all supply chain flow information, the organization improved transparency, consistency, and governance. Stakeholders gained centralized access to flow visualizations, enabling better collaboration and faster decision-making.Â
Overall, SCFG enabled end-to-end management of supply chain flows, significantly reducing manual workload and accelerating turnaround times. The result was a more agile, efficient, and scalable supply chain governance framework aligned with the organization’s global growth objectives.Â
