SAP TechEd 2023 was a refreshing and great learning experience! Generative AI is becoming mainstream in development space which was demonstrated by Joule integration with BAS to generate code from process flow diagrams. SAP showed strong focus on enabling citizen developers on SAP BTP by SAP Build Code which brings the tooling for both citizen developers and pro-code developers together and enhanced SAP Build Apps. Vector engine integration with SAP HANACloud is a bold step in the generative AI space to enable the NLP and LLM capabilities from the ground up. Unified task Centre in SAP BTP and Semantic onboarding of data model in SAP Datasphere were two important announcements as well for unified business user experience.

What distinguishes this event is its unwavering commitment to providing a clear roadmap for upcoming technologies, eagerly anticipated by tech enthusiasts. SAP Build Code, a solution for Java and JavaScript developers, leverages SAP's generative AI, specifically Joule, to streamline code generation, data modeling, and test data creation. ABAP Cloud extends its reach to BTP-ABAP, S/4 HANA On-prem, Private, Public editions, and a 3-tier extensibility model. BTP showcased generative AI integration, enhancing productivity for developers and administrators.
