Transforming industries with advanced chemical solutions
The Customer’s Journey to Integration Efficiency with InctureÂ
Our customer is an American chemical business based in Columbia, Maryland, specializing in the production of specialty chemicals and materials. As a long-term strategic supplier to the world’s leading energy, petrochemical, and industrial companies, including several Fortune 500 firms, the company required an agile, scalable, and high-performance integration landscape to maintain its competitive edge.Â
The customer was running integrations on SAP Data Centers (NEO) but faced challenges in leveraging the latest features available on Cloud Foundry (CF). This limited their ability to enhance security, improve performance, and scale their integration processes efficiently. To address this, they partnered with Incture to migrate their integration landscape from NEO to Cloud Foundry.Â
Business Impact:
- Optimized licensing costsÂ
- Enhanced security with an OAuth-based authentication modelÂ
- Improved performance scalability through multi-target application deploymentÂ
- Seamless integration with SAP’s Salesforce adapterÂ
- Enhanced user management with reconfigured Identity AuthenticationÂ
Challenge:
Managing an extensive integration landscape was becoming increasingly complex for the customer. Their existing setup on SAP NEO was functional but lacked the flexibility and advanced capabilities that Cloud Foundry offered. The limitations in security, performance, and scalability began to hinder operational efficiency, making it clear that a transition was necessary. However, the scale of the migration was daunting-97 integration processes needed to be moved, requiring careful planning and execution to avoid disrupting business operations. Additionally, the need to reconfigure Identity Authentication, establish cloud connector configurations for 15 enterprise systems, and ensure seamless integration with Salesforce and other business applications presented significant hurdles.
Solution:
Incture took a structured approach to the migration, ensuring a smooth transition to Cloud Foundry. The team began by setting up the BTP Integration Suite in Cloud Foundry, creating an environment that could support both production and non-production workloads. Identity Authentication services were meticulously reconfigured and migrated, enhancing security and user access management. Cloud connectors were carefully set up, ensuring uninterrupted communication with 15 key enterprise systems. Throughout the process, the team worked closely with the customer, proactively addressing challenges and fine-tuning the integration architecture to maximize performance. The transition from the existing Advant Co adapter to SAP’s Salesforce adapter further streamlined operations, enabling seamless data exchange and enhancing application interoperability. With a renewed focus on security, OAuth-based authentication models were implemented, strengthening compliance and protecting sensitive business information.Â
Results:
The migration from NEO to Cloud Foundry was more than just a technical upgrade—it was a transformative step toward future-proofing the customer’s integration landscape. With optimized system performance, the company could now scale operations effortlessly, ensuring that growth and innovation were never hindered by infrastructure limitations. Security enhancements brought peace of mind, reinforcing compliance and protecting critical business assets. Cost efficiencies were realized through reduced licensing expenses, making the investment in modernization even more valuable. Perhaps most importantly, the new integration framework provided a solid foundation for future digital transformation initiatives, empowering the customer to innovate with confidence and agility. Through its partnership with Incture, the company successfully embraced a modernized SAP landscape, positioning itself as a leader in its industry for years to come.Â
