From Legacy Constraints to Real-Time Agility: A Supply Chain Transformation
From Legacy Constraints to Real-Time Agility: A Supply Chain Transformation
Success Story: Reinventing Supplier Collaboration with SAP BTP
A global leader in consumer products, the company delivers innovative personal care, grooming, and household solutions that combine technology, quality, and design to enhance everyday experiences worldwide. But the company’s supplier collaboration relied on a legacy SNC system that made onboarding difficult, slowed processes, and limited real-time visibility. To address these challenges, the company partnered with Incture to design an end-to-end supplier collaboration portal built on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The initiative has transformed how the company manages supplier engagement, digitized manual workflows, and laid the foundation for future-ready supply chain agility.
Reduction of Manual Processes
100% Real-time Visibility
Enhanced Process Coverage
Future-proof Solution Built on SAP BTP
Challenge:
Legacy Systems Holding Back AgilityÂ
The customer’s supplier collaboration processes were heavily dependent on a legacy SNC system that no longer supported the company’s global ambitions. Onboarding suppliers was complex and slow, especially for smaller partners with limited IT infrastructure. Data mismatches across materials, vendors, and forecasts created inaccurate planning, while suppliers struggled to confirm orders and update shipment details in real time.
This created bottlenecks in a high-volume supply chain spread across continents. PO prioritization, QC bookings, and inspections were still being managed manually, leading to inefficiencies, delays, and errors. Without a centralized portal, planners and cross-team stakeholders lacked the visibility needed to drive agility, transparency, and informed decision-making.
Solution:
A Custom Supplier Collaboration Portal on SAP BTP
Incture designed and deployed a custom supplier collaboration portal on SAP BTP, fully integrated with SAP ERP. The new system digitized and unified critical workflows: PO confirmations, production status updates, shipment tracking, and QC scheduling. By enabling suppliers to update data directly, the portal reduced reliance on email exchanges and eliminated the back-and-forth delays of manual processes.
Built on the latest SAP BTP architecture, the solution is scalable and future-proof: ready to extend seamlessly into the customer’s SAP S/4HANA environment. Beyond automation, it provided a single entry point for suppliers, making collaboration easier and more transparent. This was not just a replacement for SNC, but a digital-first foundation to strengthen supplier partnerships across the global network.
Results:
From Manual Burden to Digital-First Supply Chain
The supplier collaboration portal delivered transformative outcomes for the customer. Enhanced process coverage gave stakeholders real-time visibility into PO line-item status, enabling planners and CCL teams to make faster and more accurate decisions. Manual tasks such as PO prioritization, QC booking, and inspection scheduling were automated, improving efficiency while reducing errors and effort.
Most importantly, the customer gained a future-proof platform that will continue to scale as the business evolves. By digitizing supplier collaboration and integrating workflows, legacy bottlenecks have turned into opportunities for agility, transparency, and growth, reaffirming the company’s commitment to innovation in the consumer products industry.
